CAM Engineer
We are currently seeking a highly skilled Technical Production Lead to oversee our team of CAM engineers. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the proper use of the CAM system, developing macros, selecting tools, and providing technical support across various departments. This role requires a strong understanding of equipment and processes, along with a commitment to continuous improvement and cost efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership: Lead and guide the CAM engineers technically, ensuring efficient and effective use of the CAM system.
- CAM System Management: Oversee the proper use of the CAM system, including the development and maintenance of macros.
- Tool Management: Define necessary tools for projects and update databases for incoming tools.
- Technical Support: Provide technical support to both operators and CAM personnel, ensuring smooth and efficient production processes.
- Coordination: Technically coordinate CAD support and assist the measurement group with technical issues.
- Process Improvement: Identify and correct problems in collaboration with support personnel. Suggest and implement cost reduction and continuous improvement strategies related to industrial engineering.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Engineering is preferred.
- Bachelor of Science degree in a related technical field or post-secondary education with a minimum of 5 years of experience.
- Strong technical knowledge and experience in a production environment.
- Excellent leadership skills and the ability to mentor and support team members.
- Proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across various departments.
